What are your hours?
Our hours are Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We are open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. We are closed Monday.
Can I stay while my pet is being groomed?
Clients are free to shop in our retail area while their pet is being groomed, but for the safety of all pets, we do not allow owners to wait inside our grooming room.
Can I tour your facility?
Absolutely! We are proud to show you our facility and will be happy to provide you a guided tour.
Do you sedate pets?
No, we do not believe sedating pets is safe without direct care and supervision of a veterinarian.
What products do you use on my pet?
The products we use are organic and biodegradable (except for our flea medicated shampoo), and they are mild on your pet's skin even with frequent bathing. We carry more than 10 different shampoos and conditioners. We select the right product for your pet based on their hair and skin type.
Do you groom aggressive dogs/cats?
At Spot Pet Care, the well-being and safety of your pet are our top priorities. We will consult with pet owners to determine if we can safely groom aggressive or overly agitated pets without causing injury to the animal or the employee.
How soon can I get an appointment for my pet?
Spot Pet Care strives to be flexible and accomodating for our valued clients. For your convenience, we encourage our clients to book online at spotpetcare.com. We recommend setting up a regular grooming schedule for your pet - such as a Haircut once a month and a Basic Bath every 1-2 weeks. And to help owners with busy schedules, we also offer pick-up and drop-off services.
How long does grooming take?
At Spot Pet Care, our goal is to minimize the time your pet spends in the grooming store to minimize potential stress for your pet. Most pets are ready to go home in two hours, although some pets will require additional time based on coat condition and size.
When should my puppy have his/her first groom?
Spot Pet Care is happy to groom your puppy starting at 10-12 weeks of age. We believe it is important to acclimate puppies to grooming early and get them started on a regular routine.
What vaccinations do you require?
For the health and safety of your pet and others, Spot Pet Care requires that all pets entering our facility be up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccinations.
How often should my pet be groomed?
We believe that a regular bath and haircut routine is just as important to your pet's health as a visit to your veterinarian. While frequency is dependent on breed, coat type, and home maintenance, we recommend most pets receive a Haircut or a Deluxe Bath at least every four to six weeks. Our Basic Bath package is ideal for more frequent cleaning to keep your pets clean and prevent future matting.
Do you use heated dryers on my pet?
Spot Pet Care does not use heated dryers. The dryers we use circulate room temperature air.
Do you groom cats?
Yes we do! Please call us directly to schedule a grooming service for your cat. For their comfort, we schedule cats in the store when it is quiet and there are not many dogs in the building.
